What We Do: Printing-Translating-Networking-Church Planting
Printing
BPSGlobal wishes to bring Bible printing to the front line which will advance our efforts to get His Word more effectively and speedily to the ends of the earth. God has given BPSGlobal a plan to accomplish this mission. To effectively accomplish this goal, we must print in other countries where it is much more economical and where transportation of Scripture is facilitated by favorable trade relationships, such as Egypt to Iraq and Iran. This does not mean that the goal is to raise funds to buy equipment and set up presses in every country. God has given Bearing Precious Seed Global a renewed vision and approach. We will be working very closely with nationals and missionaries to meet the Scripture need that they have in their own countries. The BPSGlobal vision is the whole world, “Go ye into all the world”.
Translating
The mother tongue can reach a people’s heart like no other language can. God divided the languages at Babel and has no intention of uniting them in this age. Yet, at the same time, we are told, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God." (Mt. 4:4) These two principles together indicate that it is God's will to translate the Word of God into the mother tongue of every people. There are nearly three thousand distinct groups of ethnic-linguistic people who have nothing of the the word of God. Other millions have Bibles that have been poorly translated, are incomplete, or are corrupt. They are translated from corrupt texts, such as the UBS Greek text, and in many cases are translated in paraphrase style like the NIV or Good News for Modern Man. It is evident that God wishes these people to have "every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God." BPSGlobal has a vision to recruit translators and to assist translators in their task. BPSGlobal plans to provide translation criteria (guidelines), training, assistance in translation checking, and fund raising.
Networking
There are many frustrated missionaries on the field who know that the Bibles they are using are inadequate, but they don't know what to do about it or they don't have a framework in which to do translating. Many feel inadequate and underqualified to do this job. There are also many missionaries who would like greater supplies of Bibles, but the problems involved in printing and shipping to them are overwhelming. There are commercial and mission printing organizations who can help with printing and distribution. Some of these are in the country where the need is. BPSGlobal is designing its ministry to bring these missionaries, organizations, and needs together to reach people with the gospel and train believers.
Church Planting
Bible translating and printing without church planting can be an exercise in futility. The ultimate goal of all Bible translating and printing is winning souls and planting churches and building the saints in discipleship. Although, BPSGlobal is not organized to be a mission sending board, we are actively seeking to recruit missionary/translators who will go to needy and unreached people groups to plant churches and translate the Bible. We can help guide them to obtain the proper training and we can promote their ministry among the churches, as well as work with them in their translation and printing projects. We are actively seeking a networking partnership with an independent Baptist mission board which takes a solid stand for the King James Bible. |
