Ministry Brief
VISION FOR FUTURE MINISTRY IN MYANMAR.
My Motto: "Making Ready a People Prepared for the Lord"
Proposed Name for the School: Southeast Asia Theological Seminary
My vision is centered into three-fold ministry that can be done simultaneously. These are as follows:
1. Education Ministries
To establish a global training school in order to serve the church by preparing leaders who accurately interpret the Bible, live out its truth, and communicate its message to the non-Christians in Myanmar and regions beyond and also to start basic computer training school to draw young people and shape their future as opportunity to share the gospel message and to develop talent skillfulness to become effective in the service of the Lord.
Firstly, my vision is to start a mission center for the evangelization of the country of Myanmar, a Buddhist country, where only a handful of Christians are flourishing (6.5% of the whole population). The focus for this mission school is to produce pioneering church planter, Christian educators, and to produce mission-oriented people in order to evangelize the unevangelized people group in Myanmar and regions beyond to plant dynamic Bible and Mission-centered churches. .Myanmar does not need arm-chaired theologians and missiologists but field-oriented theologians and missiologists.
Myanmar is a small country full of unreached people! In fact, there are still 41 identified unreached people groups out of 135 people groups in Myanmar. No single mission organization can reach them all. As a human being, I cannot reach all these 41 people groups but I can train young men and women of these people groups who will be going back as missionaries in their respective places after graduating from the school.
Training school is essential for the long-term development of the Ministry in Myanmar. If we are desirous of planting many churches amongst unreached peoples, then we must have the laborers. While it is easy to pray for the Lord of the harvest to send laborers, we must also do our part in equipping men and women who have been called to plant churches and for the service of the Lord.
The courses of this school will be both four years for Bachelor's degree And three years for Master's degree to those who professed Jesus as their Savior and having a great burden to reach the unreached people and plant healthy dynamic churches. The school will offer courses in the field of Missiology and Theology. This school will be unique among others in these areas.
* 1. Emphasize on quality of students rather than quantity. The aim is not getting a big number of students, but rather selecting a small number at the beginning and giving them the best training both theology and missiology along with other necessary skills in order to become effective pioneering church planters, Christian educators. If God grants good and sufficient facilities in the future, the school will accept more students year by year. * 2. Accept people who want to become missionaries, Christian educators, etc. While the school wants the candidates to have a good educational foundation and to be spiritually mature, it sees dedication as an essential quality. The school emphasizes both theological and missiological balance. * 3. Graduates become pioneering church planting missionaries. None of the Bible school in Myanmar provides ministry opportunities for its graduates. As a result, many Bible school graduates live as ordinary man having no vision and no ministry. Therefore, this school will produce mission-minded and visionary students and send out its graduates as pioneering church planting missionaries to the unreached areas.
I believe that only planting healthy local churches guarantee that there will be a continuing establishment of God's Kingdom after all the cross-cultural missionaries go home. The first graduate students will be sent out as missionary. My vision is to send out 200 persons to 200 major towns in Myanmar before 2020 in order to plant 200 local self-supporting churches.
2. Literature Ministries
This work is committed in order to supply Christian books , Bibles and other useful books to the hands of the people of Myanmar. My desire is to translate and publish good Biblical materials and other good books as much as possible into major languages of Myanmar.
3. Holistic Ministries
To help, uplift and educate the poor, downtrodden, destitute children, orphanage outcast and neglected people through giving medical help and training them the necessary skills that can be used for their future careers, medical, literacy, and socio-economic development through which we can win non-Christians.
