My Third Trip To South-East Asia: This trip has taken me to a place of new experiences…the land of China with over 1.3 billion people. With multiple languages and one simplified written script, it was amazing to hear five different people groups speaking their own language, reading the same simplified written script, John 3:16. While one group could not understand the spoken words from their Chinese countryman, they all read and understood the same written script. So as the Bible is translated most can read it, but when read audibly only those that speak that particular language can understand. This is something very foreign to the western world.

Learning Experience: Learning the monetary system (yuan, RMB, The People’s Currency), avoiding getting run over by drivers of bicycles, motor scooters, and cars was a challenge for the best of travelers. This land of recent prosperity has massed a host of new drivers that mimic the chaotic scene of bumper cars at the amusement park. At least the operator at the park can pull the switch and stop the motion and get everyone’s attention, someone forgot to install the kill switch in China.

The Chinese Translation: The two books, John and Romans are finished with only a second revision to be completed on Romans, which should be done in a few months. Soon, they will be ready for print and distribution. BPS Global is helping financially with the three national translators working on this most needed project. Below is a published statement about the translation.

The Chinese Textus Receptus Authorized Version (CTRAV)

The CTRAV is a new translation which is being translated by a joint committee of Americans and Chinese. The translation was started because there is no good version in the Chinese language. The old Peking Version and the older Morrison Version are no longer in use. The most popular Bible in China is the Chinese Union Version, which is filled with errors. The CTRAV committee, base their translation on the Received Greek and Hebrew texts and King James Version, while comparing the Peking, Morrison, the Union Version, as well as any other source they have available.

There are many language dialects in China spoken by its 1.3 billion people. However, there is one Chinese script that can be read and understood by most. A good and accurate translation into the modern simplified Chinese script can reach the people of China. This script can be easily converted into the older traditional script, which is used by many outside China.

The Director and Assistant Director of Bearing Precious Seed Global traveled to China, to view the translation process personally and are standing behind and promoting this translation. Any enquires can be made to www.bpsglobal.org .

Completion Of The Book Of Redemption: Our long awaited project, “The Story of Redemption from the Holy Bible”, was finished while on our trip to China. We will send it off to a number of observers for a final look before we go to press. The 32 page book takes Scripture from the Bible concerning five main themes, God, Creation, Fall of Man, Jesus Christ and Heaven and coordinates them into a focused and precise message from God to man. Soon it will be printed and made available to all for distribution. It has already been requested from the Philippines in a bilingual format with the Cebuano translation. It will be a powerful book to reach the lost.

Thank You For Standing With Us: Our hearts are humbled that we can have a small part in the work of God and are grateful to Him for giving us such faithful financial and prayer supporters. May His blessings be upon you.

Until All May Hear,

Steve Zeinner

Trip To Philippine Islands http://bpsglobal.org/2011/04/12/trip-to-philippine-islands/ http://bpsglobal.org/2011/04/12/trip-to-philippine-islands/#comments Tue, 12 Apr 2011 17:35:54 +0000 stevezeinner http://bpsglobal.org/?p=744 April the 13th our Translating Consultant, Colin Christensen and the General Director Stephen Zeinner will travel to the Philippine Islands. They will be meeting with those that speak the Ilocano language and will assist in the future printing of the Ilocano/English bilingual Bible that has been recently translated. The main translator missionary Clemente Quitevis was taken home to heaven from a car accident in the Philippines. Though he is no longer with us the work that he did will live on for centuries. Funds have been given for the production of this Bible and our plans are to have them printed in country.
They will also fly south to the Island of Mindanao where they will meet with one of the translators of the Cebuano Bible. God has been working in a marvelous way on these Islands and our desire is that His Word will be accessible to all Philippinos.
Please Pray

New Video http://bpsglobal.org/2011/01/05/new-video/ http://bpsglobal.org/2011/01/05/new-video/#comments Wed, 05 Jan 2011 19:43:11 +0000 stevezeinner http://bpsglobal.org/?p=690 Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

My prayer is that you will find this video helpful in understanding the immediate need of those around the world that have not the promises nor the warnings of God in their language. “…A City set on an Hill…” is for all to see and the radiance of a candle is to give light to reveal what cannot be seen because of the darkness. Where there is no Bible the Celestial city cannot be seen. Where there is no Bible there is only darkness that causes one to stumble and travel down a wide road of destruction. There is no comfort nor wise counsel to avoid the tragedies of life. What God has revealed to us, through love we can send the light to others.

Sorani Language of Kurdistan, Iraq http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/sorani-language-of-kurdistan-iraq/ http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/sorani-language-of-kurdistan-iraq/#comments Mon, 27 Sep 2010 16:39:19 +0000 brediger http://infuseitnetwork.com/bpsglobal/?p=586 We need an army of believers that will lift up this needy work among the Kurdistani people that speak Sorani. There are a few men living in Erbil, Kurdistan, Iraq that have requested help in getting the New Testament translated into the Sorani language.  This language is spoken in Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria,  mainly in western Iran and Iraq.  The other Kurdish language is Kurmanji.   It is describe as different from Sorani as English is from German. There are 40 million people that speak these two languages, 65% Kurmanji and 35% Sorani.  While the translators speak Arabic and English they have the ability to read the Bible in those languages, but there is no translation in their heart language.  One pastor’s wife who speaks only Sorani has very little opportunity to hear of God’s great grace and work except from what her husband tells her.  This will be a long process, but if Jesus tarries His coming, years from now there will be those that can see with their own eyes God’s promises.

Isan Project for Northeast Thailand http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/isan-project-for-northeast-thailand/ http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/isan-project-for-northeast-thailand/#comments Mon, 27 Sep 2010 16:38:28 +0000 brediger http://infuseitnetwork.com/bpsglobal/?p=584 The Northeast part of Thailand consists of 19 Isan Provinces.  Of the 66 million plus people living in Thailand 23 million of them speak Isan as their mother tongue.  They possess only a few copies of individual books that have been translated of the New Testament.  They still do not have a complete New Testament let alone a whole Bible.  You might think that in some remote village of South America where travel is nearly impossible this would be the case, but we are talking about a country where the gospel has had entrance for over 200 years.  The John and Romans are ready for printing and soon the remaining NT books will be translated.  At present we need $20,000 to print the John and Romans. With the heavy task of carefully translating God’s Word, prayer for Missionary translator Ron Myers is paramount.  We also must anticipate the future need of a new man to continue the great work that Brother Myers has started, the Old Testament is still waiting.

ilocano for the Philippines http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/ilocano-for-the-philippines/ http://bpsglobal.org/2010/09/27/ilocano-for-the-philippines/#comments Mon, 27 Sep 2010 16:37:05 +0000 brediger http://infuseitnetwork.com/bpsglobal/?p=582 The Third most used language of the Philippines is the Ilocano.  About ten million people speak this language as their first language. Around the year of 2000 God put in the heart of Clemente Quitevis to translate the Bible into the Ilocano language.  There was an earlier translation that used the critical text and had numerous errors. This need and challenge has been addressed by Brother Quitevis.  Much work and sacrifice has been spent getting this work ready for printing.  Through his efforts and many other Filipinos the first translation has been finished.  Now a bi-lingual English/Ilocano Bible is ready for printing.   Brother Quitevis gave his life doing the work that God had called him into. Early August of 2010 returning from a pastors fellowship he was involved in a car accident and his life and ministry came to a close.  Though he will no longer minister, the work that he did lives on through the translation of God’s Word and others that he won to Christ and discipled. Please pray as we look at this translation and press forward in its printing and distribution.
